A luck cycle is an environment
A luck cycle, called da yun, is a ten-year phase that changes the conditions around your chart. Think of it as a decade's background music, not the script of the decade.
A cycle can make work themes louder, quiet relationships down, or shift attention toward resources and recovery. It changes the mix, not the melody.
People meet the same cycle at different ages with different responsibilities. A resource-heavy decade at 25 looks nothing like the same decade at 45.
Original chart still matters
The same cycle element can help one chart and strain another. A Fire cycle warms a cold chart and overheats a dry one.
So read the cycle against three things: the Day Master, the element balance and the existing structure. A cycle adds weather to a landscape; it does not replace the landscape.
This is why two colleagues entering the same ten-year phase can report completely different experiences. The forecast was shared; the charts were not.
Use timing for capacity planning
Timing analysis is most useful as capacity planning. It helps you decide when to push, learn, simplify and protect resources.
If the cycle amplifies output themes, book production blocks and expect visibility. If it amplifies responsibility, fix the contracts, routines and recovery basics first.
Every answer becomes a budget decision: where do the next thousand hours go? A cycle reading that does not move the budget moved nothing.
Luck cycles are weather, not orders
A ten-year cycle describes a background theme: responsibility, learning, resources, visibility or consolidation. It does not schedule events.
Two people in the same cycle live different decades, because their charts, ages and choices differ. The cycle tilts the odds toward certain themes; it does not stamp a story onto your calendar.
Use the cycle the way a farmer uses a season: choose the crop, not the weather.
Plan the decade in three lines
Write three lines. The main theme you notice. The resource it will need. The date you will review it.
Then work month by month instead of checking forecasts daily. Keep the three lines where you will actually see them.
A cycle is useful only when it changes how you allocate time and money. If it changes neither, it was entertainment with a formal tone.
