Calculation method and report logic reviewers

  • Over 20 years of study in BaZi calculation, solar terms, Ten Gods and Five Elements strength
  • Focus on birth data accuracy, time zones, solar-term boundaries and marking uncertainty when data is incomplete
  • Methodology pages explain calculation and interpretation structure; they do not make guaranteed predictions

Method References

  • 24 solar terms for month-pillar boundaries and seasonal strength
  • Sexagenary cycle, heavenly stems and earthly branches for Four Pillars, Day Master, annual timing and luck cycles
  • Ten Gods, hidden stems and roots for translating chart structure into work, relationship and pressure language

Key Sections

Build the Four Pillars first

The system calculates year, month, day and hour pillars. Month pillars follow solar terms, and birthplace, time zone and true solar time can affect the final chart.

The Day Master comes from the day stem and is the centre of interpretation.

Read Five Elements and Ten Gods

Five Elements analysis is not simple counting. Season, hidden stems, roots and Day Master strength all change how strong or useful an element is.

Ten Gods describe resources, responsibility, money, output, peers, people dynamics and pressure. Reports translate these into practical language.

Add luck cycles and annual timing

Luck cycles describe ten-year environments; annual pillars show what gets triggered in a given year.

These are timing references, not fixed event promises. The goal is to understand when to push, organise or protect resources.

FAQ

Why can the same Day Master read differently?

Because season, roots, Five Elements, Ten Gods and timing all change the expression of the Day Master.

Why is the birth-year zodiac animal not enough for a BaZi reading?

The birth-year animal is only the Year Pillar. A complete BaZi reading also checks the Month, Day and Hour Pillars and the Five Elements strength across the whole chart.

Does a missing element always need to be added?

No. The useful direction depends on the whole chart, not just low percentages.
