2027 Ding Wei: start with Li Chun, not New Year's Day

2027 is Ding Wei (Goat branch), the Fire Goat year. In Xuan Kong Flying Star feng shui, the annual chart changes at Li Chun (Start of Spring), around 4 February 2027, not at Chinese New Year on 6 February. That two-day gap matters if you are dating a move, renovation or new project.

The 2027 chart: 8 White in the southeast, 4 Green in the south, 6 White in the southwest, 1 White in the northwest, 9 Purple in the centre, 2 Black in the west, 5 Yellow in the north, 3 Jade in the northeast and 7 Red in the east.

Wealth sector: southeast 8 White

Illness sector: west 2 Black and north 5 Yellow

Business sectors: southeast, southwest and northwest

For a shop or office, put the cashier, quoting desk or signing table in the southeast where practical. Use the southwest for a manager’s room, a client meeting area or important relationship work. Use the northwest for business development, travel planning or a new product line.

Place metal or earth accents in the southwest and metal or a small water accent in the northwest. Keep both areas bright and functional. Avoid putting the main desk in the north 5 Yellow, the west 2 Black or the northeast 3 Jade if another layout is available.

Other sectors: east, northeast and centre

East 7 Red is associated with loss, theft and competition. Secure valuables, check windows and locks, and reduce sharp metal decoration. Blue, black or a still water accent is the traditional weakener.

Northeast 3 Jade is the quarrel star, and 2027 also places the Year Breaker there. Avoid loud arguments, contract negotiations and renovation in this sector. A warm red accent is the traditional way to soften 3 Jade, but do not turn it into a fire display.

Centre 9 Purple is the celebration star. Keep the centre open and bright. Ceramic, red or purple accents can mark weddings, births and long-term projects. Do not fill the centre with storage.

Rat: north 5 Yellow

The Rat’s year branch is north, where 5 Yellow sits in 2027. Avoid making the north your long-term bedhead or main desk. Use a metal cure and keep the sector quiet. The southeast is your practical wealth sector, the south supports study and the northwest supports career.

Ox: northeast 3 Jade and Year Breaker

Placement rules that matter more than objects

First clean, then place. A wealth corner full of rubbish cannot be helped by a crystal. Use one main object per sector rather than stacking a gourd, crystal, plant and fountain together. Keep illness and affliction sectors quiet. Do not disturb the southwest Tai Sui, northeast Year Breaker or west Three Killings with major work.

A zodiac branch is only one layer. The useful question is what you need to do in the space: sleep, study, sell, meet clients or recover. Match the sector to the activity, then use the annual star as a secondary cue.
