Both use birth data, but the languages differ
Western astrology reads planets, signs, houses and aspects. BaZi reads pillars, stems, branches, Day Master, Ten Gods and Five Elements.
BaZi is built around time structure
A BaZi chart divides birth time into year, month, day and hour. The system then reads how element relationships and timing cycles interact with the Day Master.
Do not mix too quickly
Both systems can be meaningful, but blending terms without method can create confusion. Read each system on its own logic first.
