Verdict: the Goat must stop paying for the relationship from its own account
The Goat notices what people need and helps before being asked. That is a strength. The leak is treating every need as an obligation: the extra call, the third revision, the friend's project funded from the business account.
In 2027, care gets a form: a package, a price, a time limit and a weekly no. Kindness with a boundary is still kindness.
How to read 2027: earth meets earth, care needs a container
The Goat is Wei (Goat branch) earth. 2027 is Ding Wei, fire over earth. It is the Goat's own year branch, traditionally a year to review roles, boundaries and priorities. The work you do is more visible, but it still needs a price and a scope.
Months follow solar terms. Use the calendar notes for planning; contracts and actual payments decide the cash.
January: write down the free work
For one week, write down what you do for free: extra calls, small changes, travel, preparation. Choose two items and turn them into paid add-ons.
You do not need to charge for every kindness. Charge for the repeated work that has become expected.
February: raise the package price by eight percent
Raise the package price by eight percent and keep it for new clients. Tell existing clients thirty days ahead. Confirmed work stays at the old price.
The Goat fears that an increase will damage the relationship. A small increase with a clear date is easier than a large one later.
March: quote the next small favour
When the next small favour arrives, send a short quote: what you will do, how long it takes and what it costs.
A quote is not a refusal. It is information the other person needs in order to choose. If they say no, nothing is lost.
April: introduce a weekly no
Choose one request each week and do not agree immediately. Answer with a price or a later date.
A weekly no is not permanent rejection. It is training. After four weeks, you will see which requests were important and which were only loud.
May: bill travel, calls and preparation
Set a simple rule: travel is charged at a fixed rate, calls over fifteen minutes are advice, preparation is part of the quote.
The Goat thinks these are small things. They add up to a working day. Put the rule in the quote so it is not a surprise on the invoice.
June: limit free conversations
Offer a free first conversation of fifteen minutes. Anything beyond that is a paid session. Say the limit before the call, not in the middle.
A clear boundary gives the client a choice about how much time to buy.
July: stop one recurring obligation
Choose a recurring obligation that costs time and brings nothing back: a group, a favour, a regular unpaid meeting. Stop it for three months and observe.
If the world does not collapse, the obligation was not as essential as it felt. The freed time goes to paid work or rest.
August: turn a loyal client into a retainer
Offer a client who repeatedly asks for small things a monthly retainer with a fixed scope and response time. Keep the scope small and clear.
A retainer reduces individual decisions and makes the relationship planable. It is not a trap; it is a clearer form of care.
September: set a cancellation fee
Add a cancellation fee: fifty percent for less than forty-eight hours, the full fee for less than twenty-four. Put it in the booking confirmation.
The Goat waits patiently when a client cancels and carries the loss. The time was reserved for them; the fee is not punishment.
October: price the holiday packages now
Create three holiday packages with a fixed scope and delivery date before the rush. Decide how many you can deliver in the final week.
A package you cannot deliver is not an offer. Price it in October so December is not improvised.
November: deposits for December dates
Ask for a deposit for December dates and hold the slot only after payment.
Say: “I can reserve the date; the deposit makes it firm.” If the client will not pay, the date is free for someone who will.
December: close with a price letter, not an apology
Send next year's price letter: what changes, from when, and what stays the same. Do not justify the price for three paragraphs.
The Goat's care should include care for its own work. A clear letter in December is better than an improvised increase in March.
Three moves that matter
First, every repeated free extra is priced, limited or removed. Second, one weekly no answered with a price or a later date. Third, deposits for holiday and custom work.
The Goat can stay generous. It just needs a container that does not empty itself.
When this reading would be wrong
This is a cultural reading of the birth-year branch, not a financial forecast. A signed contract, an actual payment, a market price or a tax deadline overrides any monthly theme.
A full BaZi chart includes the day master, month, day and hour pillars. Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice.
