Verdict: the Horse needs a cash floor, not another opportunity
The Horse can earn quickly and spend at the same speed. Income arrives in bursts, fixed costs grow, and the reserve never quite exists. In 2027, the most valuable move is automatic: a separate account and a fixed percentage of every payment.
A reserve is not money for later. It is the floor that makes the fast months usable.
How to read 2027: fire meets fire, movement needs a buffer
The Horse is Wu fire. 2027 is Ding Wei (Goat branch), fire over earth. Fire adds visibility and movement; earth asks what remains. The strong months carry action, but without a reserve the result is spent before it can support the next step.
Months follow solar terms. Use the calendar notes for planning; contracts and actual payment dates decide the cash.
January: open the reserve account
Open a separate reserve account and move ten percent of every incoming payment the same day. The Horse gives out what it can see; an account outside the daily view changes behaviour.
Set the amount before the month starts and check that the transfer happened. A reserve is not a vague intention.
February: avoid pure commission without a floor
Do not sign a pure commission contract that cannot cover fixed costs. Ask for a minimum monthly fee or a minimum number of jobs.
The Horse believes the next job will arrive. In February, only what is written is secure. If the client cannot offer a floor, the risk is yours.
March: delay one large purchase
Delay a large purchase until the reserve covers three months of fixed costs. The Horse sees the next income and buys the tool now.
The next income is not guaranteed. Write the purchase on a list and review it in June. If it still makes sense, it will have a better timing.
April: negotiate sixty days down to thirty
If a client pays in sixty days, ask for thirty or a deposit. The Horse avoids the conversation and finances the client instead.
Say: “For the reserved slot I need payment within thirty days.” A shorter term is not unfriendly; it is the condition for starting the next job.
May: no new fixed costs
No new subscriptions, rent or long commitments this month. Review which current cost can become a project fee instead.
A cost that only makes sense in strong months should not run all year. If you want a new fixed cost, you need three months of reserve first.
June: collect before adding a project
Before another project enters the calendar, collect open invoices. List client, amount, due date and last contact. Call the three oldest and agree a payment date.
A new project on an open account is not growth; it is another obligation.
July: check commission statements line by line
Take one commission statement and compare it with your own notes. Mark every difference and send a short factual message with date, job and amount.
The Horse trusts the statement and moves on. A missing line becomes an unpaid invoice. A commission that is not checked is not income.
August: offer a monthly retainer
Offer your best client a monthly retainer: fixed scope, response time and price. Give three versions: basic, standard and extended.
The Horse likes variety, but a retainer provides the floor for the other risks. It is not a subscription trap; it is a clearer collaboration.
September: raise the short-notice day rate
Raise the day rate for short-notice work, weekends and travel. Say the premium before the booking, not after. Long bookings stay at the standard rate.
Flexibility has a cost. If you charge the same for short notice and a long booking, you subsidise the client's urgency.
October: put a payment plan in writing
If a client cannot pay at once, send a written plan with dates and amounts. State what happens if a payment is missed: the next delivery pauses until the missed payment is made.
An open invoice is not a plan. A written plan is not weakness; it is structure.
November: secure tax and reserve first
Move tax reserve and savings before holiday spending. The Horse plans the year-end bonus before it arrives and spends it early.
Transfer the fixed amounts first and spend what remains. Check which January bill will arrive first.
December: do not plan the bonus before it lands
Wait for the bonus to arrive, then decide how much to take and how much stays in the reserve. If it does not arrive, you have no obligation you cannot cover.
A fixed amount is unglamorous, but it protects January.
Three moves that matter
First, ten percent of every payment goes to the reserve on the day it arrives. Second, no new fixed cost until the reserve covers three months. Third, every job has a written payment date.
The Horse wins with speed and safety, not speed alone.
When this reading would be wrong
This is a cultural reading of the birth-year branch, not a financial forecast. A signed contract, an actual payment, a market price or a tax deadline overrides any monthly theme.
A full BaZi chart includes the day master, month, day and hour pillars. Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice.
