Verdict: the Pig must fill the reserve before filling the table
The Pig gives first and saves later. That is generous at dinner and expensive in business: materials are paid before the deposit arrives, gifts and favours come from the same account, and the reserve is whatever is left.
In 2027, reverse the order. Reserve first, giving budget second, everything else after. Generosity with a frame is not a restriction; it is what makes generosity affordable.
How to read 2027: water meets fire, relationships move
The Pig is Hai (Pig branch) water. 2027 is Ding Wei (Goat branch), fire over earth. Hai and Wei form a half-combination; introductions, collaboration and social opportunities move more easily. A warm relationship is not yet a paid invoice.
Months follow solar terms. Use the calendar notes for planning; contracts and actual payments decide the cash.
January: set a monthly giving budget
Set a monthly limit for meals, gifts, visits and help. Treat it like a bill. Anything above it comes from personal money, not the business account.
The Pig gives in the moment. A budget is not a restriction of generosity; it is its financing.
February: turn repeated help into a package
Choose a service you regularly give away in pieces and turn it into a package: result, scope, price. Do not frame it as a restriction; frame it as an offer.
The Pig can stay warm inside a clear frame. The frame prevents every month from becoming a new negotiation.
March: invoice last month's overtime
Check last month's extra hours and invoice the ones that are agreed or documented. If there is no agreement, note it for the next quote.
Generosity does not mean making your own time invisible.
April: review subscriptions and gifts
Keep what is genuinely used or brings joy; cancel what is only habit. The money goes to the reserve or a paid project.
The Pig keeps things because of the relationship attached. An unused subscription is not a relationship.
May: deposit before buying materials
Before buying materials for a large job, ask for a deposit. The Pig buys first because the relationship is good, then carries the risk alone.
Say: “With the deposit I order the material; the balance is due on delivery.” If the client will not pay, that is information before the purchase, not after.
June: raise the package price and limit revisions
Raise the package price and write a revision limit. The Pig adds rounds because the client is friendly or because it sees a better solution.
A limit protects quality and time. A price increase without a limit solves only half the problem.
July: review the first half of the year
Check invoices paid, unpaid and never issued. The Pig does not bill small things because they are “not worth mentioning”. They add up.
Send the missing invoices and collect the oldest one. A midyear review shows whether generosity is still inside the budget.
August: move a fixed amount on payday
Automate the reserve transfer on payday, not at month-end. Start with an amount that does not hurt.
The Pig gives first and saves what remains; often nothing remains. A fixed transfer changes the order.
September: package group work
Price group work as a package with a fixed number of participants and a clear follow-up. Extra individual support is a separate service.
The Pig offers individual attention for free. Generosity in a group does not have to become unlimited private support.
October: do not fund a friend's project from the business
If you support a friend's project, decide the amount and date as a planned donation. Do not treat the business account as an open till.
An unplanned expense is not generosity; it is a surprise for your own cash flow.
November: limit holiday generosity
Set a money budget and a time budget for the holidays before the requests arrive. Check which paid work still fits in December.
If the holiday commitments fill the calendar, the paid work has no room. Generosity is better when it is not under pressure.
December: do not empty the reserve for gifts
Give from the January budget, not the business reserve. If the budget is gone, it is gone.
A gift that endangers January's rent is not generosity; it is a delayed problem. The Pig can be generous without emptying the floor.
Three moves that matter
First, a giving budget that does not come from the business account. Second, a deposit before any large material purchase. Third, an automatic reserve transfer on payday.
If you change one habit, move the reserve amount first and the giving budget second. The order protects both.
When this reading would be wrong
This is a cultural reading of the birth-year branch, not a financial forecast. A signed contract, an actual payment, a market price or a tax deadline overrides any monthly theme.
A full BaZi chart includes the day master, month, day and hour pillars. Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice.
