Verdict: the Snake must send the quote before it feels perfect
The Snake can analyse a price, a client and a risk from several angles. That is useful until the analysis becomes a reason not to send. While you polish, the price ages and the client moves on.
The rule for 2027 is simple: when the scope, price and payment date are clear, send at seventy percent. The rest can be settled in conversation.
How to read 2027: fire meets fire, the visible work is stronger
The Snake is Si (Snake branch) fire. 2027 is Ding Wei (Goat branch), fire over earth. Fire on fire makes expertise and expression more visible. But only what leaves your desk is visible. A perfect analysis in your head has no market price.
Months follow solar terms. Use the calendar notes for planning; contracts and actual payment dates decide the cash.
January: send three real quotes by Friday
Pick three prepared quotes and send them by Friday. If the amount, scope and payment date are there, do not wait for the final polish.
The Snake thinks one more day will improve it. One more day often becomes a week. A sent quote can be improved; an unsent quote earns nothing.
February: do not discount to win a maybe
If a client says “maybe”, do not lower the price. Confirm the scope and payment terms and resend the same quote.
A discount on an unclear maybe makes the job cheaper without making it clearer. Use your analysis on the terms, not on a reason to cut the price.
March: adjust one offer, not the whole business
March is a holding month. Do not redesign the whole business. Compare three competitors for one service and adjust one package.
A small correction to price or scope is more useful than a complete restart that is still undecided in April.
April: send the follow-up you prepared
Send the follow-up you have been drafting. Ask a concrete question: “Which part is not working: price, scope or timing?” Request a decision date.
The Snake imagines the reply and delays. A one-line answer is more accurate than the imagined conversation.
May: no long exclusive contract
Do not sign a long exclusive contract or a no-other-client clause. Offer a paid trial or a clearly limited project instead.
Exclusivity has a price. Free exclusivity closes your market without compensating you for the closure.
June: put payment terms into the template
Add two sentences to the standard quote: the payment date and the next step if payment is late.
Seven days: first check. Fourteen days: phone call. Thirty days: written notice. Once it is a procedure, chasing stops being an emotional decision.
July: test a higher price with two new clients
Choose two new clients with similar requests and quote a higher price. Keep existing clients unchanged.
If both accept, the old price was too low. If both decline, you know the ceiling. A two-client test is not a grand strategy, but it gives real information for the next round.
August: ask for a referral and a deposit
Ask a satisfied client for two things in one sentence: a referral and a deposit for the next project.
“If you know someone who needs this, please connect us; for the next project I reserve the slot with a deposit.” Both are requests, not demands. The client can say no, but now knows what you need.
September: invoice on delivery, stop free extra calls
Send the invoice on delivery and treat later advisory calls as new work. Decide before handover what is included.
A short handover call can be included; a new round of analysis is a new service. The invoice is not the end of the relationship; it is the basis for the next one.
October: renewal terms with a start date
Send renewal terms with a start date, term and thirty-day notice. Do not leave the renewal open to avoid pressuring the client.
An open renewal is not a relationship; it is uncertainty. If the client will not renew, you need to know in October, not December.
November: fill next quarter with paid deposits
Fill next quarter's calendar only with paid deposits. A verbal maybe is not a reservation. Offer two options: a held slot with a deposit, or a regular booking without priority.
Plan with the first option only. The Snake tends to read the warm tone and forget the missing payment.
December: close small paid jobs before the holidays
Do not chase a large maybe in the last weeks. Close small paid jobs that can be delivered before the holidays.
The Snake sees the big project and overlooks the small invoices that finance the year-end. A small paid job beats a large plan that starts in January.
Three moves that matter
First, send real quotes at seventy percent. Second, put a payment date and a follow-up stage in every template. Third, do not discount an unclear maybe.
The Snake's analysis is valuable when it ends in a decision. Send, follow up, and learn from the answer.
When this reading would be wrong
This is a cultural reading of the birth-year branch, not a financial forecast. A signed contract, an actual payment, a market price or a tax deadline overrides any monthly theme.
A full BaZi chart includes the day master, month, day and hour pillars. Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice.
